The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum gives a comprehensive look at the importance this body of water has historically held in regional culture and commerce. A historical lighthouse and antique boats used in fishing, recreation and travel are presented alongside collections of decoy waterfowl and maritime-focused art and photographs. Spots around the museum grounds are utilized by experts in demonstrating practices such as crab picking and sailing while workers in the Boat Yard can be observed while they construct and maintain the museum's fleet of ships. The bayside museum is a 10-mile drive from Easton, located just south of the Harbourtowne Country Club.
